Mt Rouge Guest House is situated at the foothills of the Red Mountains, on the edge of a walking trail. Guests have an unspoiled view from their rooms of the surrounding mountains. Interesting rock formations, age-old trees and a variety of wild birds will entertain bird watchers or just welcome you at sunrise with cheerful singing.

Hakuna Mutata is a unique thatched rondavel with a sandstone exterior. It is fully self-catering with two double en-suite bedrooms. A double sleeper couch, ideal for children, is available in the living room. The living area is spacious with comfortable couches and a dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, small stove and the essential crockery and utensils. The built-in fireplace ensures warm and romantic winter nights. Hakuna Mutata is ideal for the whole family, families travelling and lodging together or as a special treat to honey-mooners!

The Attic is a double storey self-catering unit. The bedroom and living room is upstairs, with a double bed and 2 single beds, and comfortable chairs at the fireside. The bedroom walks out onto an open balcony. The fully equipped kitchen (microwave/ fridge/ stove and the essential crockery and utensils) and bathroom is downstairs. The built-in fireplace ensures warm winter nights. The Attic is ideal for the travelling businessman, a small family or the budget-conscious traveller.

Log Nest is designed as a "modern, luxurious and up market backpacker-type wooden cottage" with a single bedroom that offers four bunk beds and a double bed for up to six people. Self-catering facilities and an en-suite bathroom is available. The unit is air-conditioned for comfortable climate control. Log Nest is ideal for a group of friends or families looking for affordable accommodation, without giving up comfortable living.

The Lavender Room is a double en-suite room. It is tastefully decorated and offer under-floor heating. An optional breakfast is also offered for guests in the Lavender Room.

DStv is available in all the rooms. All beds equipped with electric blankets. The Guest House is located on a 3000m² stand with a secure steel fence all around for the safety of our guests and their property. Guests have use of the garden where they can relax, let the children play or have a barbeque in one of two well equipped boma's. Every unit has a private entrance and parking is right in front of each unit. If you have any special requirements, please let us know in advance. We would like to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
