Clarens

Situated on the historic farm Naauwpoort, which is one of the original farms on which Clarens was founded. The French Cottage is a hidden gem. Flanked on 2 sides by sandstone cliffs and home to a large overhanging cave with bushman paintings and perennial waterfall, the cottage is surrounded by fruit trees and is alongside a river. This is a tranquil paradise.
Built in country French style with the iconic Clarens sandstone, the luxury fully-equipped unit sleeps 6 persons

• 3 bedrooms each with their own entrance
• Downstairs are 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom (corner bath and shower)
• One room with a double bed 
• The other made up of 2 ¾ beds
• Each room has coffee/tea facilities
• The bed linen is luxury crisp white percale 
• Soft towels are provided for each guest

Upstairs comprises of:

• One en-suite bedroom with king size bed en-suite bathroom with both a bath and shower
• Luxury percale linen and soft towels provided
• Open plan kitchen and dining room have wonderful views of the property and mountains
• The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove and convection oven, a fridge and freezer and microwave
• Downstairs outside is a built in braai
• Full DSTV is provided upstairs
• Each bedroom and bathroom has a heater
• The garden is fenced in and is safe for children
• Secure parking inside
• The unit is situated on the property which is 5 HA and on which there is the cave and old orchards
• A large variety of birdlife can be seen, Grey Duiker, Porcupine and Dassies can also be found. 

The French Cottage less than a 4 minute drive from the town square and is about a 15 minute walk. Access to all the hiking trails of Clarens is just outside the main entrance of the property.
